Rebecca Ferguson - Singer Songwriter ~ Biography


Rebecca Ferguson was born on July 21, 1986 in Everton, Liverpool, Merseyside, England as Rebecca Caroline Ferguson.

In 2010 , “The X factor” a reality television singing competition singing competition saw their first woman finalist in their seven- year run.

Rebecca Ferguson was the woman who reached such a feat.
She ended as the runner-up after losing the winner to Matt Cardle, even though she was shy and she lacked confidence back in the 2004 auditions where she was audtioned for the first time.

She was able to bounce back in the 2010 auditions with her smoky, poignant voice and diverse song selections to land a spot on the show.

A qualified legal secretary and a mother of three, Rebecca Ferguson is a British singer and songwriter by profession.

She made her mark in the seventh series of the X factor, ending as the runner-up after losing to the winner that year, Matt Cardle.

The singer was greatly influenced by Aretha, Franklin, Kings of Leon, Christina Aguilera, and Amy Winehouse.

She was nominated for one MTV Europe Music Award and two MOBO Awards back in 2012.
